IoTAS and the GCF - Certified Test Solutions
The GCF is an independent certification scheme for mobile phones and wireless devices that are based on 3GPP standards.

The GCF states:
All device testing associated with GCF certification must be undertaken by an ISO qualified GCF Recognised Test Organisations (RTO). RTOs are GCF members who have demonstrated they possess the experience, qualifications, and systems to assess wireless mobile and IoT devices against GCF’s Certification Criteria.
The role of an Assessment Capable Entities (ACE) is to assist Associate Manufacturer members with the certification of their connected products. This is a mandatory requirement. ACEs are ISO qualified organisations who can determine the range of tests required to certify a device and assess the test results to ensure the product satisfies GCF’s certification criteria.

IoTAS and the GCF:
IoTAS is an independent Recognised Test Organisation (RTO) for interoperability testing, against the requirements of the Global Certification Forum (GCF), as well as a Third-Party Assessment Capable Entity (ACE) for both Mission Critical and Non-Mission Critical Products.
IoTAS is a founder member of the Global Certification Forum (GCF) Ltd and actively participates in the GCF Field Trial Agreement Group (FTAG) responsible for developing and maintaining criteria for Field Trial test scenarios.
IoTAS contribute to the GCF FTAG by presenting the infrastructure analysis, which summarises all the infrastructures available on the GCF Field Trial Qualified Operators (FTQO) networks. This information helps to identify the total number of configurations which should be tested against on each technology in the GCF Certification Criteria (CC).
IoTAS also regularly attend the Conformance Agreement Group (CAG) and Steering Group (SG) meetings held during the year, as well as actively contributing to the GCF’s Manufacturer Membership & Certification Practices (MMCP) task force.
